Ignorance of the law is no excuse

Let’s see what we can learn from this story and this story.

Let’s see… for starters…

1. Know which states honor your permit and which states do not BEFORE you cross state lines
2. Know the law in every state you plan to carry. More specifically: Don’t bring normal capacity magazines and normal self defense ammo into NJ even if you are allowed to carry there.
3. Realize that law enforcement officers may not know or understand the law either
4. Minimize contact with law enforcement officers where the officer sees you as a suspect. You never know where it might lead.
5. Stay away from gas stations at night
6. Don’t drive on a suspended license
7. Don’t go to NJ
