Travelling through or to Washington, DC? Read this first!

Under current Federal law, it is illegal to own ammunition or ammunition components in Washington DC unless you are a registered gun owner in DC. The “ammunition components” part means this prohibition includes spent cases! The punishment is up to $1,000 fine or up to 1 year in prison. There are troubling stories about DC police going out of their way to use this law to go after people. 

So before you visit Washington, DC, make sure you remove ALL ammunition and ALL fired cases from your luggage or car.
